I worked as a graphic designer on the Subway Surfers mobile game team in Denmark. I illustrated original logos and icons, and also constructed splash screens for the app. All of these assets are for the world tour series, where each app update is a new location with original and unique themed items.
Working with the Subway Surfers art team was a rewarding and greatly valuable experience.
Splash Screens
Composed in Unity3D and Photoshop
These splash screens were first constructed as a rough layout in Unity using prefabs from the game. I then took the images into Photoshop and added creative elements that reflected the theme and spirit of the city. These, along with all other assets, went through several rounds of edits with the Lead and Senior designers.

Making these scenes look detailed enough while still honoring the final scale (a small phone screen) was a challenge. We always wanted to convey enough information about the city without overcrowding the main characters and subject matter.
The most important rule for every screen was that I had to adhere to the existing style of the brand. One of the most time-consuming parts of my process was researching everything that I wanted to add to the scene, including making sure that they made sense for the location and how to draw or construct them.
